Just wondering……

I hate to start the oil filter topic again. But I was wondering what Ford oil filter would fit the 4.3 Vantage? I have seen tons of threads about the Land Rover fitting but nothing for the 4.3 Vantage. I know the engine is based on a Lincoln that Jaguar used but the AM 4.3 engine is sorta based on the Jag motor. Like I said just wondering.

One that has been mentioned previously: MANN W71329

Plenty of reference vehicles but I looked under the 2009 Jaguar XKR 4.2L V8.

A lot of people focus on the bypass relief, which is fair, but fail to realize the number is a pressure differential, not absolute. The oil filter by-pass pressure setting refers to the pressure drop across the filter. I've seen some people state 23psi for the V8 Vantage OEM filter, but I have yet to find anything validating this claim.

like another one said... there is more to the oil filter than whether it simply fits... with it being a dry sump engine and 10 l of oil...I just use OEM... for $25 to $35 bucks it's just not worth it to go after market on an oil filter

K&N HP-1014 probably works. pressure differential for bypass valve all seem to be 11-17 psi after perusing many; hard to imagine that would be different
threads that list cutting open and measuring, Jag filters, etc
