Can I get 12 VDC from under the reading lamp pod on a Vantage?

Can I get 12 VDC from under the reading lamp pod ?

I am trying to find 24 HOUR 12 volt power by the rear view mirror for a dashcam... Any Idaeas

What year Vantage? Later cars had wiring for a homelink dimming mirror which has 12V but early cars didn't.

My 2007 Vantage has a home link auto dimming mirror from the factory . I believe the 12 volt connection for the mirror times out after the car is shut down.

Thank you for the reply. Yes my car does have the home link on the mirrors. I forgot to check the voltage there. off the little white module with three wires going to it that says Volvo I was only getting 11 volts. I wonder what that little white box is for?

You can use a FitDVR box which is plug and play with the home link harness but it powers off with the ignition. This is the one I used on my 2007

if you need hot all the time pull power from the floor fuse box and run a feed up the A pillar and headliner... it's actually quite easy and can be easily undone.
