Well, it's happened. The convertible top pump on my V8 Vantage Roadster has failed. Took it to the dealer (Aston Martin DC) and they quoted me just over $10,000 all in to replace it! I can't believe the pump alone is over $6,000. Anyone know of where I can get one for less?

Used pumps on Ebay, under $1k. Find a place that can rebuild yours.

 

There's a place called "Top hydraulics" i think they're in Oregon that can probably rebuild you pump. Find a good convertible repair shop that does high end cars in you area.

I've used Top Hydraulics at least 3x. Twice for refurbished cylinders for my 2000 Jaguar XKR and later for replacement hydraulic lines and then hydraulic cylinders for my 2004 911 cab.
Each time the parts were very good and worked as expected

 

I ordered a refurbished pump today. $1,000 vs $6,500 from the stealership. Thank you, gentlemen!
