Spring 09 is what I was told yesterday. The V12 Q7 is delayed as well. Not sure what is going on, but I have a feeling Audi would rather pump out as many as they can with the current engine as they are having no problem selling them. The V10 is a no brainer from where I sit and I have no problem driving the RS4 for a little longer. However, if Audi continues to delay the new R8 then I am buying the F430

With premiums being paid on all R8's and no A8's sitting on dealer floors I would say this could only be true depending on what region you are in. Overall Audi is doing just fine!

Any word on power levels for the V10? I'm guessing it will fall below the Gallardo's - which kinda sucks. A 550+ hp NA V10 could potentially be a worldbeater.

Nothing "official", but I would hope someone has pointed out how nice the TT from the RS6 would be in the R8

V10 won't be TT from the RS6. It seems that's what caused the fires in the prototype R8.

They will keep the V10 NA. Need to find the article.

Something tells me the Audi will be a little more dependable and considering how I drive that could be the difference between actually driving the car and just owning it

Yes that is correct, but to dump the project because of one little, mishap would be a shame. They need to do something else with that engine and this makes the most sense, I would much rather have this then the V12 TD.

The R8 is the same engine as the RS4, why would you want to fork out more money but with the same set up (almost same). I enjoy my RS4, Actually thought about getting the R8 but wasn't worth the money to me. But enjoy the car though.
