Considered a S5 for about 10 minutes..

I love the interior and the look can be amazing with some wheels and some light mods.

But when I drove it I felt like I was driving a cadelac. Everything felt so loose on it from gear box to suspension... Is it cus im used to the 997 or did I drive the demo that was just tor up?

Id love to get into the RS5 when it comes but I cant handle the clutch suspension and gearbox

Erm...I dunno about the other guys, but...

I really wanted to know what you meant. My S5 drives like nothing you mentioned above...clutch isn't loose to me, it's light but firm, hence why I asked what you meant by "loose"

As for "cadelac" I have no idea what that is...

I speak 5 languages btw fluently:
1) English
2) Mandarin
3) Bahasa Indonesia
4) German
5) Taiwanese / Hokkien

No need to take potshots at anyone just because you drive a Porsche. I had a 996 TT seal grey and a white 997S but you don't see me talking down at people like you just did.

I was insulted so I defended myself like im sure you would. English isnt my first language. This is a forum for advice not insult.

Anyway back on topic

When I drove it the clutch felt like a feather rather then stiff. When I push the clutch in on my 997 it throws itself out.

The steering is not stiff at all felt like driving a boat thats were the cadilac coment came from.

Is this normal?

thanks

I have never driven an S5 but from what i have heard it handles awesome, tight suspension, good clutch feel. Have you considered an RS4?

The clutch is light, trademark of all S an RS models...I've driven the S4 and RS4 they all feel that way. But it's firm when engaged...this should be a pro not a con in my opinion lol...save a lot of your energy in shifting up and down; it's like using a samurai sword vs a barbarian axe to chop off someone's head...they both can accomplish the task, but one definitely requires less energy to do it.

A caddy floats like a boat, turns like a boat...the S5 handles nothing like a boat as far as I can tell from mine.

Go test drive a Mercedes, now that's more of a "boat" ride if you ask me
