I've had my order in for an R8 now for well over a year and a half. About 9 months ago I picked my color combo which was the ice silver w/ the oxgen silver sideblades. I was planning on getting black leather interior but NOW I am told since I'm next on the list (it will be an 09) late summer/early Fall they are telling me I can change my color. I am now considering the black w/ the lava grey sideblade (with the dark brown interior). I know color choice is a personal prefernce but I'm split 50/50. I'd seriously like to know what your choice would be if you were picking! Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your help!

 

black hides the line on that car imo but if u like black then i don't need to say much. loving my Ice Silver not to mention it really shows the futuristic lines of the car. i'm biased though. also look into Daytona Grey if u want a more aggressive color. it looks pretty sick too.

 

Did you also go with the oxygen silver sideblades? What color interior did you go with?

 

black interior. what color is oxygen? i forgot what's mine but a shade darker than Ice Silver.

 

Yes oxgen is the one that is a shade darker. I think that is all I needed was some reassurance. Black is a great color but I agree it hides the lines. Then again any color is bad ***. I am sticking with the ice silver. Thanks for taking the time to reply!

personally, I think the white w/ carbon or grey side blades looks best on the R8's. The black and silver also look great but are more common (not that any R8 is very common). No matter which color exterior you got, my vote would be for a black interior. It just seems to work w/ all the aluminum in the car.

Good luck w/ whatever you chose, you'll have one hell of a car either way!!

I have a deposit on an 09 R8 V10, if they make it, and I was told I could order any color in the Audi palette. Audi exclusive interiors are also available, like the deviated stitching on the red V12 TDI at the Geneva auto show.
So..... How about Sprint Blue or Imola Yellow?
