Well, while driving to the burbs for Mother's Day yesterday my passenger side rear tire got a nice piece of metal stuck in it. It's right in the middle on the flat portion of the tire (not the sidewall).

I was lucky enough to find an NTB down the street hoping they could patch it up for me. No suck luck, they claimed the tire was not patchable and wanted to sell me a new $372 pilot!! I have less than 1k on these tires so it's very difficult for me to swallow this cost.

Does anyone know a good tire patcher in the Chicagoland area? I'm scheduled to stop by my garage on Lake street today but I have no idea if they will be able to either.

Thoughts?

This is the second time in less than a year I have had a brand new summer tire go flat on me! These streets around Chicago are SO unforgiving..
