you should go to a site like ecstuning

just a chip makes a huge difference for the 2.0t -- my 2.0t chipped would pull the same as a stock b5 s4

Chip tuning will give the most bang for your buck, but a new higher quality diverter valve will likely be needed to handle the increased boost since the stock units are prone to failure. Exhaust is a bit more pricey for the minimal gain and weight reduction, but in combination with a test pipe and cold air intake (or drop in air filter) that allows for higher flow and is relatively cheap you will DEFINITELY hear a difference and the throttle should feel more responsive. With that added power you'll want to upgrade your suspension with a set of coilovers and thicker sway bars. Sky is the limit so you just need to figure out how much you want to spend. Good luck!

ECU Reflash, turboback exhaust & air intake are the more popular upgrades.

Let me know if you have any questions. We carry everything for your 2.0T.

This is not the place to ask those technical/nooby questions.
But to answer your question, a chip + test pipe is the best combo of mods if you're looking at bang for the buck.

Go here for all technical questions.

Expect about $600 for an ecu reflash, $1200 for an exhaust, $250 for a new DV...

The best bang for your buck will be a G.I.A.C. ECU Flash. You will gain 52 horsepower and 82lb ft of torque at the crank.

Here is a dyno chart for the G.I.A.C. X-Chip:

The G.I.A.C. X-Chip retails for $550. Installation rates will vary depending on where you have it installed.

You could also install an exhaust or FMIC on your car, but the G.I.A.C. Flash is your best bet for easy, cheap, and most importantly, reliable horsepower.

Cheapest- hp for the $$$= flash (chip). giac/apr/revo and etc
ehxaust with a TESTPIPE (no cats) will remove a lot of restrictions in your exhaust system
FMIC will not let your car get heat-soaked + will have better pull
intake- dont know about this, i know on 1.8t it didnt make any difference, maybe 1hp only.
suspension--- oh yeah..... IMPROVES THAT A LOT!!!!!1

Someone on the forum had already said GIAC, but given the results of our dyno day this past weekend, REVO was the big winner, though I will admit that there were no "GIAC reflash only" cars there. I do know someone with the GIAC tune, but he's running a GT28RS turbo, and a whole bunch of other mods, so I can't say exactly how much the tune made power vs. his other mods.

The guy running APR's tune put down 30 lb/ft less torque with the same mods as the guy running REVO. We all were shocked.

We just did a REVO 2.0t & it did 245 wheel hp & 330 rear wheel torque!
I would say flash it, intake, full exhaust.
