Official: TT-RS with pics/sound

Don't have an English press message / high-res pics yet, but do have the main specs and some mini-pics:

2.5 TFSI 5-cylinder
340 pk & 450 Nm
6-MT transmission
quattro
18″ brake discs (no need for a BBK if you're to fit bigger wheels )
Top speed 175 mph (limited!)
0-100 km/h in less than 5 seconds

SOUND CHECK! http://static.autoblog.nl/images/wp2...gine_Sound.mp3

I'm curious what the mod potential will be of this car...

I wonder how these fare versus the Cayman/Boxster duo, both performance wise and market appeal.

Looks good, I just wish they had flaired the fenders a little more to distinguish it from the TT and TT-S

I agree on the flared fenders, that would've been so sexy.

If the TT-S can do ****-60 in 5 seconds I hope this can do it in at least 4.5. Wishful thinking?

This will be much faster than the 265 hp TT-S cars. And interstingly enough as I suspected it looks like the DSG will not be present. I wonder if its because of durability issues at that power level?

Damn it would almost be hard to buy an R8 with the way the convertible looks. When is the R8 convertible coming?

Love the turbo 5 cylinder and quattro back again! As far as the Cayman/TT-RS comparo, I'd imagine the TT-RS would have it beat at least in straight line acceleration (and if not stock for stock, a simple chip will solve that ;-) ).

Love everything about it, but really wish they made the fender flares a lot more noticeable.

Too bad Audi hasn't yet announced it will sell it in the US.
