From A4 to....?

I'm sure someone here has had the same issue/situation come up in their lives. Wife has an '05 A4 3.0 that she absolutely loves, gets around everywhere and has given us few problems. We currently have 1 kid but most likely a 2nd will be on its way, so its time to upgrade to an SUV.

I'm pretty satisfied with the audi experience and dealership I use, however the only SUV is the Q7 which is eehhh....a little outdated looking now, and I think a bit overpriced. More than likely I will be selling the car to a dealer that I will be buying the future SUV but don't know where else to turn to. We are against american manufactured SUVs but the lexus and infiniti are out there also.

Any ideas or suggestions would be great!

Same situation here. We solved it by getting an B7 A4 Avant. Maybe in your case you'd be best served checking out an A6 Avant. They have a ton of room inside and if you need more space, get a good roof-rack.

My A4 (B7) is going to get replaced shortly with something a little different. Maybe an S5. That way we have a family car and a nice car. We'll see. In this economy there are plenty of opportunities.

And I agree with you on the outdated look of the Q7. They need to give it a face lift or introduce a nice TDI variant for it to become appealing again.

Audi Q5. Updated styling and great mid-sized SUV.

the Q5 is nice but too small for two baby seats...its like having a sedan all over again.

Two baby seats will fit in either the A4 or the Q5, however it appears you're wanting a bit more room. In that case I would consider a Cayenne or an A/S6 Avant (Im not personally a fan of the 6 but it would provide more room). I've never been a fan of Lexus or Infinity anything, if I were to leave the VW/Porsche/Audi family it would surely be for a BMW

LOL, the A6 Avant or the AllRoad would be a great call. We had room for four adult plus camping gear on one of the last road trips we took out to the coast.

The A6 Avant is the way I'd go.. And if you win the lottery, the RS6 Avant also does the trick nicely.

I love the new Q5, a small, attractive car that's great for the daily chores.
