That will be a beast! Don't know if I like the red casing, but I'm guessing it will be hidden when completed.
I wonder why the R8 is sitting up there idle? I thought VF's R8 blower was almost done.

my guess is that the stock hood does not fit due to the fact the supercharger is quite large and the OP does not have a hood that does fit the car atm since not too many people supercharge RS4s, therefore he had to cut a hole in the hood as a temporary modification.
it doesnt hurt to use a bit of logic/common sense once in a while
