Audi R8 E-Tron Concept


The R8 e-Tron is based on the Audi R8 supercar.
Changes over the standard R8 include a new front grille and front end, while new LED headlights also feature. New wheels and a new rear end also appear on the concept.
The concept is likely to be pitched as a rival to the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept and the Mercedes SLS AMG eDrive, both of which will appear at Frankfurt.
Interior shots leaked show a driver-biased centre console with two screens; one for the rear view camera and one showing a navigation map.
No official details have been released yet, including whether the concept will feature an all-electric powertrain or some form of hybrid but the fact that it appears to have no cooling vents should mean it’s the former.

And those wheels, ... wow.

The wheels and grill are disgusting. IMHO those two things alone ruin what could have been a very cool concept.
