2010-s4
1. Everything is relative. In this economy, a 47-60k sedan selling at all is good.
2. Your local market is not the same as mine. My local dealer has sold all of their allocation for the next 6 months.
3. Your anecdotal story does not trump mine. The fact is that autotrader is now listing a quarter of the number of S4s available compared to just a few weeks ago when I was looking for one.
Are there some markets where they've got unsold inventory.. sure. So, your comment is only appropriate if you add ".. in my area" to your claim.

I agree with you that this car selling at all is not bad in this economy, but it's far from "selling like hot cakes".
BMW 335 (it's main competitor) sells way more cars and the price is the pretty much the same.
Go to auto trader and see how many 335s there are listed nationally. How many do you think will sell?
Now look how many S4s are on the market? How many do you think will sell?
My guess is that S4 numbers compared to 335 numbers are like a drop in the bucket.

Actually I don't think it's apples-to-oranges. Audi clearly targets 335 with this car.
Limited production would be rs4 and it's in direct competition with amg c63 and m3. S4 is not and is not really a limited production.
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one

I just picked up a 2010 S4. Absolutely PHENOMINAL car. It shifts nearly as quickly as my Ferrari 430 Scuderia. *seriously*. I came from an S6 which I hated because of it's bipolar auto-tranny. The S4 is more playful, more responsive, faster and nearly as roomy inside. The 100 hp it loses on the S6 is easily made up by the fact that it's lugging around 800 Lbs less. There is marginal turbo/supercharger lag, but it's a fraction of a second and only comes into play if you're needing to drop down a cog or two for a sudden acceleration request.
I got $1300 off of list from my dealer. The S-tronic 7-speed is a must-have option on this car. The B&O sound system is fantastic, and the recent improvements to the 3rd-gen MMI are excellent. (Map display is highly detailed, faster, optionally in 3D. Comes with a built-in MP3 "jukebox", SD-card readers.)
An amazing car in all respects. I honestly can't think of anything to criticize about the car. There's great rear-seat room, and even a very large trunk. It's practical, comfortable, easy to live with, and scoots like crazy through the twisties.

Any pics of your car, I'm in the process of doing a deal on a similar S4
Michigan's economy is worse than other parts of the country. Plus when I was shopping for my S4, no one in Michigan had fully loaded S4's in stock. They were willing to take orders though and stated they had other orders in line/being delivered.
The 335 is in a unique position to still sell well. It's not as nice as the 2010 S4, but it's better than the previous S4's. It's more available, and BMW has better financing and lease rates, and used 335's are great deals. Even used through the dealer you get an awesome finance rate. I think it's 0.9 or 1.9%.

Wow. Did anyone else see this ?

Some anecdotal evidence is surfacing that the S4 is pushing out more like 400bhp (a measured ~330 at the wheels).
Driving the car certainly feels like more than the stated 333bhp. This would explain it. Even if it's not as high as 400+, I wouldn't be surprised if the verified/certified figures puts the car at 375 or so.

Thanks for clearing that up! Can you post a pic of what BBS CH-K's look like? I've never seen them before, which is why I asked if it was a typo thinking you meant CH-R.
