A few questions about the A6 Avant

Im looking at selling my truck here in the next few months and purchasing a new car. My only problem is that I would like something that rides better than my truck but still be able to carry my longboards and other necessities.

After some research I have come to the conclusion that a wagon is a good choice for me as a daily driver. Ive looked a little into the BMW wagon, the older Mercedes wagon, and the A6 Avant. I like the styling on the A6 a lot. Reminds me of being in the UK with the RS6 Avants rolling around (I wish they produced them here).

Anyways, back on topic. Does anyone know if it is possible to get this car in a manual transmission? Ive looked at the website and it only gives the 6-speed tip as an option. Also, if anyone here owns one, what do you think of your vehicle? Ride quality, gas consumption, build quality, etc. Im open to suggestions and just looking to try to get some feedback from you guys. Thanks in advance

Chris

Hey Chris,
not sure how Old you wanna go with an Audi Avant.

My buddy had (I think) an 01 Audi Avant.

It had the 1.8t Engine, Quattro and (again, I THINK) it had a 6-speed, if not it was a 5-speed. I remember him saying that the manual transmission was a bit rare.
Here's an 02 1.8t, 5spd Avant: http://www.audizine.com/classifieds/...ct=25222&cat=7

Good Luck with your search,

Sc

Well after talking with the local dealor here, it is impossible for me to get an Avant with a manual transmission. Not even if they special ordered it straight from Germany.

So after looking around I am thinking about going with the BMW sports wagon. They offer it in a 6-speed tranny. I really like the looks of Audi and the build, but they just didnt offer what I wanted. Ohh well..

Thank you for your time and help though, I appreciate it
