Audi R8 5.2

I was checking out Inskip in RI and noticed a r8 5.2 6 sp for sale at MSRP.

I thought these cars were hard to get?

Do dealers through out the country have the 5.2's.

My local dealer said there is a long waiting list for these cars.

What gives? I would like to drive one and possibly trade in the TT.

There was a 6speed Audi R8 V10 silver/blk for around 8k off MSRP on ebay with just a few hundred miles on it a few days ago, not sure if it is still available. Dealer allocations are small but if you look hard you can find them and possibly get a small discount. I had the same thought on trading my 997TT for a Audi R8 V10 but the TT with the mods I have done is just so hard to beat. Anyhow good luck with your search, the Audi R8 V10 is an amazing car indeed.

I am in FL and the car in RI.

If it was just a tad closer I d run up and drive it and prob buy it.

It has 180 miles on it.. they've let four potential customers drive it unfort..

I really want to drive it and see how it feels.

I made them an offer,, sent pics in with the VIN of the P car.

lets see what happens.

they would deliver the audi and take back the TT on a covered carrier.

the deal is in their hands.

I leave in a week for a months' caribbean cruise so time is of the essence. But it may be still sitting there in Feb, who knows.

Perhaps you can find flights into BOS, rent a car and make the hour drive to Inskip. You can get this done in 1 day. That way, you'll have the opportunity to drive the car and check everything out first hand - if your are apprehensive about buying the car sight unseen.

Alternatively, try finding a local dealer with similar R8 in stock. BTW, The Collection in Miami has a 5.2 (auto) and a 4.2 (man)... if you can't find a car more local to you to test drive.

Was at Inskip this weekend taking a look at this R8. Looks very good in black. Thought I saw only 51 miles on the odo?

Had the same thought of trading in the Turbo for the R8. Which sales guy are you dealing with?

I talked with Mike at length about the car. He said approx 180 miles.

I want a print out of the ECU to see if the test drivers exceeded the break-in RPMs,

I hate when someone abuses a new car and thats why I normally order my P cars.

I want to drive a 6 sp V10, not an auto or an 8 cyl.

The black one looks HOT to me in the pictures.

If its meant to be I ll have it but I am out of here in less than a week for 25 days so we shall see.

Thanks for the info

It's a great looking car. Ran across one at a local audi dealer. It was listed at $2k under MSRP. Amazing it's still on the lot.
