What a joy, I got to stop by Evoms today to meet Rod. This was truly awesome. These guys are all about making very cool cars even cooler.
There shop was full of Porsche Turbos. And some Audis. 2 well known silver R8 where on the premises. We all now who owns one of them LOL.
I can't wait to get my R8 and have Rod and the boys to do some tuning to it.
The turbo kit will be a bit out off my budget at least for a while.
Thank you very much Rod for taking time to show me around and talk about these awesome cars.

CURI0, I can add a little commentary: Completion of the internals took longer than expected; everything at EVOMS now, motor assembly began last week. The other components for the project (turbos, plumbing, cooling, insulation, seats, harnesses, suspension) are ready to go and can be installed soon afterward.
The "bolt-on" TT R8 seen in the track photos above has been a great help for my project, as 1) it served as a chasis for all the hardware/pipes/wiring fabrication for my car while the motor parts were being made, and 2) it was run hard on the track all summer in the Arizona summer heat, which allowed EVOMS to find the strengths and weaknesses of the general set-up. Heat in the engine compartment is the big issue, and the team believes they have the proper set-up for my car now, thanks to what they learned from the bolt-on car.
The car is expected to be driving in the next couple of months. I'm sure EVOMS will post a proper update in the near future.

I remember seeing Al fabricating those sweet pipes and exhaust. Very cool!
