Audi RS5 - first photos
I think most people who are the cash-in-hand would-be potential customers are of the general consensus that the RS5 just didn't deliver (the fact that the US isn't even getting it until 2012 is a joke as well and makes the 450hp V8 even more outdated). The good news is that it had revitalized the idea of more heavily modding the S5; there are now a solid 4+ leads on supercharger kits which are in later stages of development, and places like europrice are as up to date as possible on retrofitting RS5 body pieces on A5/S5's.
I agree that the mandatory S-tronic is a bummer on the RS5, especially when the S5 has the absolutely solid getrag 6MT.

Also dealers already received some materials about the vehicle already as a 2012 model. I have the full PDF from my Audi dealer.

FSI means fuel stratified injection ie direct injection, the forced induction moniker is TFSI.
I wonder if anyone ever stopped to think.. hey instead of having an expensive fancy transmission, maybe we shouldn't have a peaky engine with a narrow powerband...
Everyone is doing the high specific output thing these days, except for MB so why be different?
Personally I would have preferred the 4.2 liter twin turbo engine even with the same hp it has a much better powerband.

Can you share this pdf? I called my dealer as soon as the RS5 story broke and got in the queue.

and honestly I prefer this car with the 7 speed S-tronic because with launch control and great gearing it helps the peaky engine stay in its powerband.
