Is this a good deal for 2011 TTS Coupe (in Canada)?
Second, your Canada price would be pre-tax so you would need to add another 13%, whereas the U.S price once all taxes and duties are paid would come to your Canada pre-tax amount, therefore saving the 13% tax rate!!!
Importing requires time and legwork, if you hire a shipping company and have them broker the vehicle, then yes...the price advantage begins to drop, but if you fly down and pickup the car yourself, drive it home and broker it yourself buying in the U.S is very worth while!!
Depends on the make, but I believe Audi will let you import a new car. You need to look into that for your self, but remember...your Canadian dealer will of course tell you that it can't be done!!! Call Audi Canada and ask them.
Sounds like your a typical "tire kicker"....!!! There is enough info on importing a vehicle from the U.S, do a search and when you serious then I am sure people would be willing to give you info.
Well, it doesn't seem like one can import new from the US, or if it is possible then the cost difference is negligible. I'm asking for info while researching myself, but it doesn't seem to be cost-effective, or else everyone would be doing it. I'm looking for a new car, not even a slightly used one. Doesn't seem plausible.
