RS4 b7 vs. S4 b8??

Hi:

With the summer holidays I've been doing some thinking...

Is it worth to trade in my RS4 for a S4 b8? What do you guys think? Is the RS4 that much of a better car?

Cheers.

b8 s4 with ecu flash and exhaust is faster than rs4

^ 2nd...although when you start modding you need to comparing apples to apples. You can mod an RS4 to spank almost anything out there...as well as a B8 S4.

The RS4 is slower but it's such a special car. It's like comparing the M3 with the 335i. RS4 is the way I'd go unless you need an automatic (DSG).

Thank you all for the help.

For the moment, I'm finally keeping the car... I love it!!!! It's indeed a very special car.

Might go for a couple of mods: Milltek exhaust and 19" BBS CH rims. What do you think? Other opinions or suggestions!

Cheers.

Not to get into to it but...

I don't know what reviews you have read that show the S4 is faster...it isn't. The best numbers seen in review for the RS 4 are 4.5 (0-60).

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...onclusion.html

The best I have seen for the S4 is 4.8 (0-60).

4.8
I have seen the new s4 at 4.8 and the rs4 at 4.4 or better. I guess it depends on where you go but I have driven both and the RS4 def feels quicker but that should matter least when comparing both cars.

i wouldnt trade the rs4, i really do like the b8 s4 but the rs4 is just such a amazing car.
widebody
i kind of like the looks more than a b8 (personal opinion)
that sound! just soo nice
its your car so its you decision but honestly id take a rs4 over a b8 s4 any day even if a b8 is faster with a few mods

funniest part of that video? the RS4 owner sold his Sprint Blue RS4 about a month later. A friend of mine bought it. The friend is Dan from JHM...and it's going to be their in house shop car for development of parts. They took the brutally tough to mod and unloved B6/7 S4 from a 13.8 quarter mile time to mid 12s all motor, and threatening 11s with their supercharger, adding something like 120 WHP in the process. They also developed a ton of wicked parts.

Should be great things for RS4 owners in the future as they have plans for a similar parts list to what they developed for the S4!

how? I'd love to see an RS4 spank a tuned/exhaust B8 S4. Hell I'd love to see an RS4 spank a modded B6/7 S4. There's just no real modification market out there (yet).

Software and exhaust is far less than 18k for a supercharger for an RS4.

maybe you missed it, but he said 'RS4 can be modded to spank anything out there'

that just isn't true. It can't even spank a B6/7 S4...let alone 'anything out there'

Who has the fastest RS4 (4.2...not a 2.2T swap!)?
