a5 s line or g37s

my wife needs a car and she likes the audi for its looks but i cant handle it being a 4 banger 2.0t for almost 50k the s5 is out of the question. so i showed her the g37 s and she liked it too but not as much as the audi's looks. what should i do the audi with the s line comes out being 49k and the g37 s around 47k. any advice?

I have a 2009 S5 Quartz Gray with Magma Red that I am selling. It is 6 speed manual with 39,000 miles. Any interest? I haven't advertised it yet but I think its worth maybe around $44,000??

You're on an Audi forum so the replies you get might be more in favor of the A5. From a "bang for the buck perspective", you definitely get more out of the G37S. If you live in an area that gets a lot of snow, I'd say go with the A5 for it's AWD platform, but otherwise I would go with the G37S. Just my opinion. Hope that helps.

Even though it only has a 4cyl, it doesn't feel like one. 211hp isn't earth shattering, but the 258tq isn't shabby and actually has good performance. I looked into the G37 before I bought my A4 and I wasn't all that impressed. I guess when it boils down to it, I felt there was more to a car then HP (can't believe I just said that).

Get what your wife likes (A5). In the end, it's her car. Happy wife, happy life.

I don't know you or your wife so I'll talk about what I like.
Between these 2, tough decision....but I believe I'd get the G37.
It has more power with 330 hp.
It's rear drive, which I prefer.
It's cheaper and should be more reliable.

Audi gets good marks for interior but exterior styling I'd put at even steven between the 2.

Yep, I's get the G37 and add some interior mods to make it look and feel more luxurious.

I was in a G37s convertible recently and I was surprised at how nice it was. The interior was awesome with solid build quality. All kinds of gadgets and great seats. If she will be driving it in the snow I would probably go with the Audi. The G37s will be dangerous in snow with the 19" tires that it comes on

You get more bang for the buck but 50k for a G37 infiniti just doesnt sit well with me, its nice but there are a million out there. S5 even A5 is a TON more exclusive especially the S. The G really doesnt get much respect and is just another 2 door coupe to most.

I know this may not mean as much to your wife, but just a thought. Also for your wife perf. may not be the most important factor so you can throw out the HP numbers and stuff.

With all the options, there really isn't anything more you can want from a luxurious standpoint. Exellent build quality as well.

does the a5 feel sluggish to you and your wife? if not, get the a5. it looks better and feels nicer.

perhaps consider a basic trim a5 2.0 or a used a5 v8?

i like g37 but its suspension is just brutal, especially in the rear.
