How Much of a Dealer Discount on New 2011 Audi S4 ??

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a new 2011 Audi S4.
It's a nice car and very capable.
The MSRP's on these range from the low to high $50K's.

The best stealer discount I've gotten so far is $3500.
That seems a bit low in comparison to other comparable cars and the total price of the car.
And, particularly this late in the model year.

Does anyone have any experience on how much of a dealer discount these cars should get?

Thanks

I had a B7 S4 with the V8. I love that car to death. The new B8 S4 are overpriced imho. I'd rather get a M3 4 sedan.

3500 sounds right. I'd be happy with that.

They are priced lower than the B7 S4 was. You will be hard pressed to find a car in that price range that offers the performance, luxury, and tuning options. I think it is probably the best value out there for a performance car.

I don't imagine too many people on here have '11 S4's. Check an audi board or truecar.com for discounts. Truecar is pretty good. I went to the local dealer here in Charleston, SC. They would not discount and they would not even honor supplier discounts on S4's or TTS's. They said special orders are out 6+ months also since the factory is behind on production and orders are up.

pricing is not cheaper than the B7 in the U.S.A. Audi stripped a bunch of basic stuff out of the car in order to offer the B8 at $47,000.

My 2007 was $47,500 base price, so really base pricing stayed the same, but you need to pay $1000 for premium wheels and $1000 for leather seats on the B8. Add to that the fact that memory seats aren't even standard, and you see how they offer the B8 base where they do.

To get a nicely equipped B7 with NAV and bluetooth and everything you were at around $54,000 including delivery/PDI/gas tax lol. To get a nicely equipped B8 you're up in the $56,000 range. So no, it's not really cheaper.

With all of that being said, it's easily the BEST choice in the 45-60 range. I recommend it to everyone who asks me what they should buy. None of those who bought a B8 S4 have been unhappy with that recommendation (4 so far with the 5th taking delivery next week).
