tts vs. tt
I guess it depends on what your priorities are. You could add aftermarket bits to a TT and get the same benefits. You can do the same with the TTS and make it even better.
I have owned both and think the TTS is worth the premium. Particularly for the coupe. I view the roadster as a fun weekend car to cruise around in with the top down. In such a role, the added power and performance is nice, but not really needed. The coupe is more sports-car like and great fun for the occasional track day. In that role, the TTS shines.
In another month or so, I'll know what the TT-RS brings to the table!

If you add all the standard options on the TTS to the TT you will be at only 4k less then the TTS. So you are paying an extra 4k for the extra HP/TQ, slightly improved suspension and exhaust note from the TT.
On the other hand if you are not planning on getting the PCCB and PDK then the price difference becomes like more like 16k.
I think that the main reason to get TTS or TT is if you plan on getting PDK and PCCB then definitley get TTS.
As much as people on hear complain of the PDK, I think that the power assisted clutch on the TT manual is horrific and a deal breaker for me. If you go with a manual you should plan on changing that clutch for something that has some FEEL to it.
