Maybe a month left before I put the stabil in. Have had the r8 for a couple months now and haven't looked back! Powered w/ Akrapovic, lowered w/ H&Rs, shoes by HRE, and driven by Iron Man! =)

Looks great! It was between the 997 turbo and R8 for me back when I was looking and sometimes I wish I would have gotten a R8. I can't use the power of the turbo much around here. But then again I havn't really done any events. Time to join the PCA I think. I miss the midwest...(if that is where you live)...

I test drove the r-tronic and thought it was OK, at low speeds it has a mind of its own LOL. Then I drove the 6-speed and fell in love with the "click-clack" of the gated shifter.

I've thought about putting some snow tires on for the winter, but have a hard time accepting all the extra wear and tear from the elements. Anyways, have an x5M which fulfills the need for speed in the winter =) I'm in NW Indiana, btw, about 45mins outside of Chicago.

I had an order for a 2012 Turbo S, but backed out, kinda got cold feet with the new 991 coming out. Anyways, had a chance to test drive one, fast as hell, man those turbos kick in really fast. Anyways, came upon the r8 and really think I made the right choice. It has that WOW factor, for same price as the turbo S. Plus, the power delivery is so linear and so strong.
