And I agree with your opinion about the dual clutch (not the GT, I've never driven one, but rather the R8 in general).
Simply because its the best, purest example of an R8 for a drivers car. Dont get me wrong, the R8 undoubtedly is the best everyday driver of a supercar. I have had pretty well everything and thats the best thing Ive had. The GT also is the sexiest to me, looks fantastic!

Understood, and I do not disagree.

Congrats on your spectacular car!

The power feels good, although Ive been nursing it for some break in miles. The only thing I absolutely hate is the gearbox. It needs a dual clutch trans, the single is rather rough on downshifts at times for me.

Also I think its strange that you spend well over 200k for this car and its not even an option or standard to have automatic driving lights, or a homelink system! Literally you cant get it which drives me nuts.

I will get you some videos of the exhaust soon. You will love the sound!

Can't believe that Audi doesn't include auto headlights and Homelink on the GT; they're both standard on my V10. Also, as you spend more time with the R-Tronic, you will get more comfortable with it. Remember a (very) slight lift of the gas on upshifts works wonders and as it breaks in hopefullly your downshift experience will be enhanced. My 2010 now has about 4K miles on it and I love the R-Tronic; (but I also loved the SMG III in my E60 M5). Congrats on the car btw; gorgeous.

Here is a quick and dirty iPhone video I took this morning of the exhaust. As you can see on a cold start it makes a lot of noise difference! Sounds incredible though! When warm it still makes a considerable difference and I will get that video up soon.

So by the name on youtube we can assume this you?

Pretty cool that a race car driver would pick the R8GT as his daily.
