Potential RS4 Cab purchase help

Longtime Porsche guy looking at some RS4 Cabs. Does the RS4 have any particular issues that need to be looked for in a PPI? In the Porsche world DME data is examined for overrevs, 993TTs valve guide issues, 997 ISS issues, etc... TIA.

Only issue is misfiring due to carbon build up on intake valves

Ryan,

Thanks...I've been buried in all the Audi forums trying to get RS4 educated but i still have a ways to go. From what I've read DRC issues have been resolved via a recall? How does the carbon build up present itself--intially power degradation to eventual misfire? Would a compression and/or leakdown give some indication of the level of build up? Can you look at DME rev counters to see how hard the cars been driven? TIA

Presents itself through misfire on all the cars I've seen. Dont think you will find anything in the ECM in how hard it has been driven.

RS4 Cab

I have a 2008 RS4 Cab that I purchased new, and it has been rock solid. The car currently has 51k miles on it. I came out of a 2006 911S Cab and have no regrets. With that being said, I find myself in need of a bigger vehicle, and am considering selling my Cab. If interested shoot me a message, I am located in the SF/Bay Area. If I can answer any questions about Cabs in general, let me know as well. Good luck in your search...you will not regret it.

Ive also got my RS4 up for sale, I just posted it in the market place section. Its a 2007, 39k miles and one of the few that actually has a warranty on it through Audi....oh and no carbon buildup, I took it to the dealership late last year and said it was good to go.
