I am thinking of buying an RS5. Car will be use an a daily driver when I dont have other people with me and dont need space on my BMW 7 series. Looking for any feedback from owners of how they like or dont like the car. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

orlanderlv is infamous around these parts
I've looked at the RS5 (I owned a TTRS) and the S5. Looking at buying a 2013 S5 coupe as a second car. I can't recommend the RS5...too much money and not enough performance.

I just bought a 2013 S5....my question is this...look at the performance differences...not much. If you wanna pay about 20k for .2 seconds to 60 and wider fenders...then go ahead. The RS5 has a Lambo derived V8 with a 8500 redline and is designed to be revved...if you dont plan on being above 6000 RPM much then the supercharged V6 is better because all its torque is available form like 2000 RPM...vs the RS5 which is available up top in the RPM range. The RS5 has about 100 hp over the S5. With a chip and pulley upgrage (about $1500) you'll get just about 100 hp more..so you are in RS5 territory. The S5 is lighter and has less engine weight so you will get less understeer. The S5 also has available the Audi adaptive suspension which uses magnetized fluid in the shocks and can be set to 3 different settings, from comfort which is very smooth and plush to dynamic which is very stiff. The RS5 does not have this and the ride is not as stiff as dynamic and nowhere near as comfortable. So to sum it up...RS5 has 100 hp more that can gotten in the S5 pretty cheap. (RS5 upgrades will not get you too much HP unless you spend BIG money), The S5 is lighter and more nimble. Its got the same torque vectoring differential and the same brake turning system yet is lighter and has less weight over the front. The S5 is more comfortable and has a stiffer setting for better track and canyon carving settings. The plusses for the RS5 is the sound of a V8 at 8500 RPM and its got box flares. For a $20k savings I went S5...I actually like the higher pitched S5 whine when you slap an exhaust on it...and its nearly as fast stock...faster when modded. BUT...That RS badge is sexy!
