Wheels for a 2000 S4

Hey - Can anyone suggest a nice set of wheels/tires for a 2000 S4 that I'm buying? I'm also going to be looking for a good exhaust system.

Wheels I'd check BBS CH's they have always been my favorite for the B5 A4/S4s. Another that looks good is Sportec. For exhaust I'd check AWE out. Mike and some of the other guys are on this site and I have their exhaust for my A4 and could not be happier, the sound and service is amazing! Also check APR or Milltek.

BBS CH - Looks better lowered, which this Red S4 is not.

Sportec

If the car does not come with one already, get it chipped, you'll have 300+hp right out of the box. My chip is through APR and they have very good software that is controlled by the cruise control stalk to turn it on and off at the press of a button. It makes a world of difference. You will probably not go wrong with any chip tuner, the best are GIAC, APR, AWE maybe EVO from what I hear.

I was thinking about a REVO chip. My friend just had his Jetta 1.8t chipped, and it is amazing how much faster his car is.

Definetly go with the BBS CH's, i want a set for my B6 A4

We have many nice wheels for the S4. Mty boss had a red one with 18" Mille Miglia HT3's in charcoal and they looked SOOOO nice on it. For only $229 a wheel, you can't do better. Check them out (on a yellow one).......

I'd go with APR all the way. I have their chip, downpipes, bi-pipe, snub mount....massive torque, great performance. My exhaust is from Remus. I removed the resonator (and cats too!) and it sounds great.

I have 18" Flik Artics from Edge Racing on my S4.

You have to at least check OZ Superleggeras. Light 17.5 lbs in 18x8 (10 lbs lighter than stock 17x7.5).

Love my throaty Borla exhaust!! Downpipes really help as well. If I had to do exhaust again I look seriously into the AWE twins.

Joey, I would love to hear how your Borla S4 exhaust compares to my AWE/Borla A4 exhaust. From your picture it looks like the same tips. I just can't say enough about this exhaust it is very throaty but also can be quiet when you want to just cruise.

I would recommend BBS wheels based on my personal experiences. I've put mine through a lot and they've stayed true. The fact they are an OEM mfgr says a lot to me being that I work in the auto parts business for an OEM and I know what kinds of testing we put OEM supplier through.

Beware of HREs. They have been having quality problems with rims failing and rims not made to spec. I read some where the official notice that many car clubs, including the SCCA, has either already or is in the process of banning HRE wheels from their events. The Viper club had 3 sets that failed in one weekend.

Too bad since they are really good looking wheels.
