Unfortunately, Americans buy SUVs and pick-ups, not station wagons (or estate cars). Love these hot rod wagons (C63 AMG in particular - see below) but as many have observed, there's not enough demand here to justify the U.S. certification.

I have already posted about my disappointment with Audi in not designing an RS6 sedan and in then not bringing it to the US, where the growth in Audi sales has been great. Truth is I bet they could have sold every single RS6 sedan they imported and in fact could not have kept up with demand. Obviously Audi would rather give the AWD high performance market to Mercedes. And no, the RS7 is not the answer as to my eyes it's fugly.
