Well, at least the tires won't get curbed. Beautiful wheels.

Why is the lip of the wheel protruding so far beyond the rubber? Is that normal?

They're slightly stretching the tire on the wheel in order to run the that particular wheel spec. It's become a popular thing in the VW/BMW and Honda world.

not crazy about wheel stretch or crazy camber in front. Makes no sense to me to ruin the handling of the car. Everyone has different priorities and likes and to this owner he/she thinks it looks great so that is all that matters. I do have to say awesome wheels though and they match the car very nicely.

LOL Post of the week

Like it was said this is a new trend that some people actually like. It was actually more popular in Europe before the US. Its been going on in the VW scene for YEARS. Having had a gti I saw a ton of this at the meets I used to go to. A lot of people were also putting on AMG wheels or Porsche wheels and stretching the tires to fit. Also popular on BMW in Cali/West coast.

Those wheels work very well with that car. I would not change a thing.

I'm surprised it doesn't have a huge camber
