Looking to get a SQ5 or Q5...

...for the lady. She had a 2013 Porsche Cayenne but that was a bit too big for her so she will down size. When will the Q5 line be updated with a full model change or mid model change (if it has not already been changed)? Don't want to buy at the end of the life cycle.

We just bought a 14' Q5 TDI six months ago. The TDI was new for 14' and they refreshed the LED driving lights and rear tail lights. My wife loves her little SUV. The Torgue (428 lbs) is insane. Plus we are getting ~ 35 mpg. We looked at the SQ5. Didn't thiink it was worth the extra money and extra fuel just for a little bit more sporty SUV. My wife is more than thrilled. We have a 2007 Q7 we bought at end of 2006. First Q7 sold by Stevens Creek Audi back then. My wife gave me a hard time for 3 months saying she never saw another Q7 on the road during that timeframe. She thought I bought her an albatross!! Shipped it to my daughter back East. It's got over 110K on the speedo and still going strong. Just reqular maintainence items. Nothing out of the ordinary in the last 7+ years. She needs it back East where she attends College. BIG Audi fan.

Ironically I have both a CTTS and a Q5. We just purchased a Q5 TDI for my wife as her daily driver to chauffeur the kids around. We traded in a 2007 X5 for the Q5, so I get the down sizing.

Audi is suppose to be launching a Q5 redesign for the MY2016, which will also be built in a new plant in Mexico. Take that as you will. For me, the combination of a 1st year of a redesign that it built in a new plant in Mexico and with a new labor force just screams quality control. I hope I am wrong though, but for these reasons I opted to not wait for the new model launch.

Now as for the MY2014/MY2015 changes, there are no significant changes. It seems that Audi of America has shuffled around their packages. For example, there is no longer a S Line being offered on the Q5.

For me, I really wanted the S Line along with the titanium wheels that came with it. So knowing that, I started looking for a MY2014 with S Line. Luckily for me, I was able to locate one and as a bonus it was local. Pulled the trigger last weekend and brought home a Daytona Grey TDI with Prestige, S Line and Comfort packages.
