Main problem with Audi?
I am looking at an 1997 Audi A4 with 137,000 miles for about $5.5k and i know Audi's are unreliable. BUT i wanted to know what certain thing about CK200 causes all the trouble (enginer, electrical, etc.)? because this audi comes with powertrain coverage.

What engine does it come with? Price seems a little high for a 97 with 137k miles.
B5 chassis vehicles are notorious for bad wheel bearings, and control arms. Besides that expect to do a timing belt change at least once through out ownership.
If you keep up with maintenance they can be very good cars, but like any machine if you neglect it it will become problematic.

Audi Problems
As quoted well above by ECS, Audis have moving parts, sometime more. Which makes those moving parts to be maintained. If you do that, and it can get somewhat costly, you will enjoy the vehicle. Suspension is a little more notorious due to AWD. Find a good mechanic and have them check it out.
