R8V10 as a winter Beater
I wrote a review of my winter in an R8V10. Take a read, and let us know if you would do it:

I think Audi’s are excellent cars for all weather driving. Iprefer my RS6 over any other car when the roads are slick, but when the snow isover 6-8 inches deep (like in your last picture), I prefer my Silverado 2500 HDfor the ground clearance. I don’t like snow blocking the intercoolers on the Audi, though this isn’t a problem on an R8.
Fortunately, the local roads usually have the deep snow foronly a day or two. They are then plowed, leaving an inch or so of snow coveringthat my RS6 comfortably negotiates with Bridgestone Blizzack snow tires.
Most WV winters have more days with the roads completelyclear than snow-covered. While the Blizzacks operate in the cold much betterthan summer performance tires, I didn’t realize how much better a snow tire canbe until I put Michelin Alpine Ice tires on my Cayman R. I don’t think I giveup much grip at all compared to my summer tires.
So I am in favor of spirited driving all year round, but Ithink you have better vehicles in your garage for the deep snow. While the R8is capable, you really don’t get to explore its virtues beyond what is offeredby a “lesser” vehicle that is prepared for winter.
