Any Advice/Suggestion Why I Should Buy An A8L

Hey Everybody,

I am debating if I should trade my Range Rover for an '06 A8L.

I am a little tired of driving an suv (my 3rd RR in a row) but I love the look of my Range.

The A8 looks like a great car but it seems a little plain in the styling.

Any thoughts on the reliablitly, driving experience and suggestions on how I can dress this car up a little ie. RIMS!!!!!!

I think a nice sport rim will make the car look a lot more aggressive, but I havent seen any nice wheels on this specific car.

Your help is appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not that it is the single reason to trade, but the new A8L has a Bang & Olifson Audio Package Upgrade that is simply the finest sound system EVER put in an automobile by a factory. Dash mounted tweeters that rise out of the dash when the system is turned on, huge power, a large multiple of speakers and sound to die for (if you like vehicle sound).

I test drove the new A8 and it is a lot of fun - it is much more nimble than it looks and it picks up pretty well for being so heavy. The interior is magnificent and +1 for the B&O sound system.

If I could afford it, the A8 would be "chill" car to balance the 997S.

As for wheels, HRE makes a bunch of really nice wheels that would go nicely with a big Audi. There are also the old standby BBS wheels and you could consider the upcoming S8 wheels.

There only a few Audi dealerships in the country qualified by Audi to do bodywork on the aluminum body. A trip to the body shop is on a truck to another state!

If performance is an issue then the A8L-W12 is the answer. The W12 V-12 cyl, 6 liter option is 450HP and really hauls. Combine the power with the oppulence and you have one fine ride. The lease is favorable and keeps one from taking a hit at trade or turn-in. The really interesting fact regarding the A8L-W12 is that it is only 300 pounds heavier than the RS4.

The W12 cars are REALLY rare. Some "I'm a rich guy and I want it now" dude came in and told them to get him one... Their reply: "Good luck, man. We got our ONE allocation already..."

Besides, if you have that kind of baller cash, get the A8L and pop the MTM turbos on it...

They drive nice, it dosent feel that you in that long of a car untill you turn to look behind you.

The power is EH, but I dont expect power form a car like that.

Allocations on the A8 and A8L are slim pickings as it is, W12's are a very rare breed. I have anywhere from 50-60 A8 customers and only 2 are w12s. Im willing to bet that there are more carrera Gt's in the states than there are W12 A8's. As it is an A8 with the W12 is a $140k car, for that much there are lots of other cars that are prime choices....highly depreciated/used bentley GT!

The S8 should be a monster... And for what it is, it isn't really that expensive.

Thanks guys.
I have been thinking about the S8 but I really dont need the performance in a daily driver. I have my TT for that.
I am still undecided what to do.
I can get a 2006 A8L, Brand new for $73,000 that had a sticker for $83,000.
I usually cant lease because I get rid of my cars within 1.5 years.

with a nice rim the car will like amazingly aggresive the stance it sits at is perfect as it sits. You will enjoy this car no doubts, Personally i cannot stand driving range rovers it seems that some transmissions have problems and aren't always smooth shifting

Yeah Livo, you do need to get rid of one of your SUV's
The A8L might look nice and simple outside but once youre inside there's no comparison it's a real drivers car compared to a 7 series or an S class... the ergonomics and interior is top notch, best in it's class..plus quattro is standard.. It's so stable I thought I was driving a small car.LOL 73K is great for what it has to offer.. i say do it.. too many benz and bmw's out there.. I think it's still better to lease it since you can trade it in after 1.5 years without paying full sales tax/interest.. unless youre paying cash
well good luck...

I got a deal pretty close to that on my 745Li. You should drive the BMW, its a much nicer, well sportier car to drive but still uber luxury and while both the cars depreciate a lot out of the box, you will probably have more luck trying to unload a BMW. You can do a 24 month lease on either just FYI.
