04 S4 Impressions?
I've driven the 04 S4 a few times and overall I was very impressed with the car. Handles great, torque feels great. My dad has had his eye on it for awhile because he views it as (he's driven it as well) a great performance car thats also the perfect daily driver. Definitely an Audi.
Not to mention the exhaust is deliciously evil sounding.

I'm partial to the B5 S4 only because snails are my favorite animal
. Torque availability really isn't even a concern as peak torque for the 2.7TT is available at 1,450rpm I believe. K03s might be small but they spool mighty quick.

The S4 was a rockin' car to drive. All I kept thinking was 'Corvette with a back seat'. It his nice grunt in any gear and the quattro puts the power down nicely. It handles well, but its heavy and you notice it. It gets up and moves not unlike the NA 996, but with less perceptible drama. It shines from 60 to 100+ like a true autobahn burner. For the money, its a worthy competitor.
The 6-speed was crisp. The exhaust note was decent, but could use a little aftermarket help to give it more life. The seats are among the most comfortable. Of course, Audi ergonomics. If I gotta go 4-door, I'll be shopping it seriously over the competition.

Oh yeah... the real fun though is that new Audi TT 3.2 with DSG. Holy cow! Can you say Boxster Beater! That gearbox rules and the car comes stock with a killer exhaust note. I think I would gladly take one over a Boxster S and buy a Harley with the extra dough.
