Clarkson S6 review

Its the main reason I didn't go with an E63 or M5. It's my daily driver and I'm going to put snow tires on it. I agree, however, that it is underpowered if you're comparing it to either of those vehicles.

It's "underpowered" because it is not direct competition to the E55 or M5. That will be the RS6. You can be sure the RS6 will have enormous improvements in handling and straight line performance. Clarkson needs to get his head of his ***.
In my mind, the S6 is pointless if there will be an RS6. It is way too heavy and way too underpowered, and people all over are making further assumptions about all Audis. No doubt it is the best made of any other competition, but Audi is trying too hard to fill every single price point, IMO. Not to mention it's too expensive.
I'm pretty sure the B7 RS4 was the only Audi Clarkson's ever liked (and he liked it a WHOLE lot). Otherwise he's been notoriously harsh, from what I've seen.
Doesn't mean that the car's not a disappointment -- I think 430hp out of a V10 that otherwise makes 500+ is certainly a disappointment, especially for that price.

Then there was the Ferrari 360. This came after the glorious 355 so we were all expecting more of the same, only better. But what we got was a twitchy little bastard with the face of a gormless frog.
