If your looking for a 40k audi, I would look at a Stasis challenge/touring series A4. Touring package comes with 230 hp 240 trq, coilovers, 19 inch volk rims with 265s all around. Challenge package comes with 240 hp 260 trq, coils, rims, Audi DTM body kit (option on S4) and center differential from stasis, for a great track feel. The touring isa 35k base, and the challenge is about a 40k base. Pretty sweet packages. http://www.stasisengineering.com/sslanding.aspx something to check out.

You should get an 00-02 S4 for about 20k with mid range miles on it. Send it away to APR and have them full Stage 3 the car for 10-12k. Add brakes, etc. to handle the excess power. Not only are these cars a blast to drive (I have one) but you will smoke any other audi on the road including the new RS4. I have raced two of them on different occasions from a 3rd gear roll and have significantly pulled on them. If you're feeling brave go AWE and call Vast performance for some custom tweaks. With a race gas program on high boost you will show stock 996 porsche turbos and lightly modded ones a thing or two. Definately a huge pain in the *** if things break but with a smile on your face I think you'll agree its worth all the fuss. Cheers - Garin
