Brake suggestions for my early 2005 A4

Had two people pull out in front of me as I was flying down the highway this week, hit the brakes (and kept applying pressure), and I almost ended up in their backseat. The car only has 25k miles on it, and the dealership said the brakes are up to spec.
This never would have happened in my Porsche.
Suggestions?
Thanks guys!

You could get some Porsche "Big Reds", Brembos, Alcons, Stoptechs, etc. There are a ton of vendors out there. Do some Google searches on "A4 big brakes"...

A cheap and easy solution is to upgrade to performance pads, stainless lines, and new fluid (Super Blue, etc.).

Pads and fluid go a long way on these cars for little money.

Assuming your vehicle is a 1.8T, you can upgarde to the larger units from the 3.0L. Kits exist out there--there is a good one on ecstuning.com and I believe on purems.com.

Another option is to upgrade to the B5 S4 front brakes. Although they are only single-piston, they are much more powerful and are a great street upgrade (will still fade badly on the track though). What makes these most attractive for your purposes is that these components can be found for cheap either from an S4 owner who has upgraded or used. These brakes are also used on other audi vehicles such as the A6 so there are a lot around. The calipers are thick though, so if you have aftermarket wheels they might not fit.

The last easy option I can think of right now is to go with the B6/B7 brakes. They might be hard to come by though although if you look around they are around. These brakes are also used on the B7 A4's as well but with smaller rotors. They have great feel and braking capability is far improved over the tiny B6 A4 units. I farrrrr prefer the brakes in our 3.2 A4 to mine.

These are the best options out there for the street. Any big brake upgrades will be overkill.
