The RS4 is a great car...more comfortable and fast.the 997S is more raw and
loud...LOL it's a very fast car and with all the features, comforts, AWD, it's really hard to beat.. if that was offered in tip or dsg, my CayenneS would be bye bye

1) wait until you explore the higher RPM regions

2) the RS4 is "supposedly" faster than the c2s in most all reports

3) the RS4 is not faster than a C4S on the track

and i agree, i'm just happy that my RS4 is as fast as it is.....and LOUD (thanks Milltek!)

AND its gets even better as you put on miles. I am at 10K and the car is much quicker than when new.

I have had Milltek on 2 S4's and now my RS4. Absolutely the best sound you can realize. First S4 had non-res and TOO loud to have a conversation. Second S4 had Milltek Cats & down pipes with full Res catback. Just perfect and about 46 additional HP. RS4 has Res full catback, no downpipes as the engine just loves RPM which is what the downpipes add. Even better sounding at 10K than when put on.

As a side note, get used to checking your oil! The RS4 uses about 1 quart per 1K miles. Normal for a RACE engine, which is what you bought. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.

Really random ... But anyone know the breakin for this car.. I remember the E46M3 was 2k miles at certain RPMs.. Any idea on the break in for this car? ...

Meaning can I go full redline with 100 miles on the car lol

The break-in is 1,000 miles with specific limitations on RPM. You really don't want to brake the car early on as the on-board will rat you out and AoA will not honor abuse warranty claims.

I have varied the RPMs and gone into highter RPM zones, but not for long - most of it has been around 4K or less so far. I did hit 7500 a couple of times, but again, it wasn't for long. It's an amazing car...

I'll check the other Milltek threads, but it was my impression that the downpipes were worth it. If so, I was planning on doing the downpipes and the resonated, valved exhaust (still have a g/f to go on long drives with). I saw that reflashes were still being developed.

Thanks again for all the compliments - I'll post some better pics on Saturday when it'll be cleaned up. I'm going to need a new avatar...

Oh - the (eye rolling) was some guy's comment about whether the RS4 is as quick as a 911. It's the same crap as the 997TT vs. Z06 stuff - people refuse to accept truth if "their car" doesn't "win".

Chris its gorgeous! I think it was a great decision, and you can enjoy it on a daily basis! Having test driven one, I can't imagine the grin on your face daily from driving this beast. Forget about the naysayers and go out their and drive the hell out of it!!
