I did it

I know that this thread will suck without pics, but it's been a long day.

Since I don't feel like maintaining two cars, paying for two cars, etc. (since I won't drive the 911 in winter), I ended up picking up an RS4. I took it in the shorts a little on my trade, but I got the car at invoice and I'll save a few hundred a month. It's Avus Silver w/black leather, all options. Thanks for your input about the color - Avus looks awesome.

As far as comparisons to my Carrera S, it feels REALLY quick and VERY torquey. It is much roomier, has all of the same creature comforts, etc. I actually don't feel awkward in it from all the gawking I got in my 911. I miss my 911 for the "Porsche-ness" of it, but the RS4 is pushing all the buttons so far.

I love the exhaust note in "S" mode. From your guys' experience, does the Milltek sound better? Resonated or not? Valved or not? Any GIAC or other flashes for it yet?

Pics to come tomorrow.

PICS BELOW

"Sell" is a generous term for it... but yes, it's gone. I have some other things I want to get done and the extra $$ will go a long way.

It seems he traded it in.

Wise choice. If you can save a few hundred and you're still rockin' an RS4, you should be a happy camper. That is one helluva ride.

I guess I am just surprised that you didn't try to sell it on this board first. Your 997 looks to be the exactly what I was looking for and I live in VA. Can I ask what they gave you trade-in value and what dealership? I might go buy it. Congrats on the RS4 btw!!

There's no way I could have come out of pocket for the depreciation hit I took. It was a little painful...

The car is at Rockville Porsche/Audi - ask for Greg T. He did my deal today so he should hook you up if you told him I referred you there.

Congrats! Nice choice. Do you trade the A3 yet for a BMW 3series coupe or is that idea died? Enjoy the car and good luck.
