RS4 cab
If your in the market for a vert, I would not consider anything from the audi x4 line. Its just meant to be a sedan. It's not that its ugly (its not) but it just somehow doesn't seem right.
They are also stupidly heavy and expensive ($82K).

Just insane... how can a relatively small car be so heavy?

it's not fair to say that. i got customers that want GT3 cab all day long in sunny CA. cab people think differently.

FWIW, I've had two S2000s - those are good, open-top sports cars, designed from the outset to be such. If you have to go Porsche, get a Boxster S for similar money to an M3 'vert.

1. has to be fun to drive
2. has to be fast
3. has to be sporty
4. has to have room for four
5. has to cost less than say, $65k brand new
i personally cant think of a whole lot of options. hell, even if you raise the price to unlimitd you dont get many more options
and also, i cant believe you said that a 911 is not as hardcore as an m/rs. when was the last time you drove a 911?
