No doubt it's gonna be awesome... but spending that kinda money you gotta wonder how that car is gonna look in 10 years? cool design but not timeless, like say this...

I've been saying that all along. It will be a lot of fun, but the design will age quickly IMO.

In that first pic, just look at the front view - above the bumper line, there is not much going on - big, blank hood, big, blank roof. The sides and rear are more interesting, but still...

For current R8 money ($120K-ish), I'd rather have a V8 Vantage or GT3.

I love it. In 2-3 years we'll see how it "holds up" in terms of appearance and timelessness. If all that checks out and the price is in the $75K range, I could see one sitting in my garage.

I think it looks great, very next-gen design. Now wether it will stand up to the test of time, only time would tell. But hey, the car is hot now, and I doubt many people are considering buying one because they want to keep it for 10-20 years. I doubt its going to look dated within 10 years.

That car (R8 in general, V8 or V10) is the perfect car to lease. Just like an M3, M5, 911 Turbo, etc.
