The Car Connection reports that like so many appealing cars offered to happy drivers in markets outside the US, the Audi RS6 is staying home. Apparently, a US version was never considered. As such, we're left to look longingly at photos and a very inviting spec sheet.

We don't get to hear what the V10's already-intoxicating noise sounds like with the addition of a couple of turbos. More ghost ship than Q-ship, RS6 will be the stuff of legend that few of us ever get to experience firsthand. What a shame.

Can't say for sure till AoA confirms. But with good sales of the m5, the 55, 63, and 65 series benzes, I wouldnt see why Audi wouldn't atleast bring the sedan version here. They already saw how hot the sales for the rs4 were.

 

I think with the success of the RS4 they would be crazy not to bring it. Im prepared that the RS6 Avant will never make it, but if they don't bring the sedan they are nuts.

That's a damn shame. It certainly wouldn't be a volume car, but there's enough people out there who get some sort of twisted enjoyment out of a sleeper wagon to make it worth it...or at least I imagine there are.

 

Would have been a perfect upgrade from my 06 s4 avant... guess Ill have to wait and keep fingers crossed that AofA will bring the RS4 avant to the US
