Looking for a 996TT: 2002+ Blue or Black

this wtb has moderator approval...VSE Chuck

Trying to find my first P-car...after passing on a car in Ohio thanks to some help from a couple of very friendly 6speeders (many thanks TurboTodd and OhioGT2), my search continues for the right 996TT. I have not seen anything else that just grabs me on the usual places...Cars.com, Autotrader, Craigslist, etc.

I know some people here are considering selling without having it listed and also that some members who already have cars run across good deals, friends selling, etc.

My strong preference is for a 2002 or newer blue coupe (I like them all...Midnight, Lapis, Cobalt) but would also consider black or white if they are optioned right. I would also consider a 2001 but only if it had low miles and really nice options. I am not a fan personally of the gray interiors but won't rule them out entirely...but no tiptronics.

The OEM aerokit is a huge plus in my book, x50 package is nice but not required. Other than that, just something with decent mileage (say under 40k) with nice options and in good shape with no stories. This will be a daily driver so I don't need a PERFECT garage queen, but I want something with only 1 or 2 minor defects tops.

Oh...as this is a daily driver, I need something reliable. No highly modded HP monsters...I need something either stock or lightly modded on the powertrain. I will probably just be doing ECU + DVs + exhaust and that's it...if it's already included, more the better.

Any leads?

Good luck! I'm searching for the same exact car, almost to a T! (except a little more lenient on the years)

Best of luck to you in your search.

Great description for your future ride. It will be interesting to some (me) how long it takes, how close you get, what you end up spending...for sure post up when you get it. GL!

Hi there!

I am pretty much in the same situation... except that I'd like a cab and this is not compatible with my budget (I want to stay below 50k)

If you'd consider Guards Red, my car is still for sale and perfect:

If not, go after Cobalt Blue as it's the nicest of the blues by far and black is common and gets dirty in 2 seconds. Good luck!

I'm not sure what you mean, 01 TT's do not have the grey bits that were in early non-turbos...

Good luck.

Yeah sorry, I personally am just not a big fan of red on Porsches and I am not looking for silver. There are so many silvers out there that if I wanted one, I would already have one.

Small Shrimp, I will keep your car in mind, I saw it when you put it up for sale. Still trying to find one without grey interior and with lower miles.
