Wish I was back at work already...At that price I'm surprised it hasnt been sold yet. Thats under (trade-in value). If I had 60k extra it would be in my garage......

Boy, If this car is as clean and flawless as it appears to
to be I cannot believe it is still for sale. If this was feb 2010 It woud be in my garage for sure.....Part of me hopes its still around in 3 months.

Trade-in value is less than I was selling. I was offered $50k by my local Porsche dealer for trade towards an (already overpriced) GT3.

Hi Jeff. The wing was a GT2-style eBay reproduction. I purchased from the same guy discussed in this thread:

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...heap-ebay.html

While some members had negative experiences with the seller, I had no complaints at all with my wing; the CF was perfect. I was very happy for ~$700.

Car is sold.

My turbo was officially sold today. The car was purchased by a very nice Oregon buyer who lives about three hours away from me. Normally when I sell a car, I really feel like "I'm done with it"...but not this time. This was easily the most bittersweet selling experience I've had; I really loved that car.

In case it might help other sellers/buyers, here's the postmortum on my sale:
  • Car sold for $56,500. Normally I wouldn't disclose the selling price, but as I was firm on price, here it is.
  • The sale took 7 months; my initial asking price was too high ($65k).
  • I advertised on AutoTrader, Cars.com, here on 6speed, and on three Craigslist sites (Bend, Portland, and Seattle).
  • Autotrader yielded four leads; all were out-of-state and none seemed serious.
  • Cars.com yielded three leads, including the lead that sold the car. Incidentally, that makes two for me on Cars.com (my Cayenne Turbo also sold from a Cars.com lead).
  • 6Speed here yielded only a single serious lead, who ultimately needed a stock ride-height car.
  • My local Craigslist (and Portland) yielded no leads at all. The Seattle Craigslist yielded two serious leads who negotiated on the car.
  • I was offered $50k trade-in value towards a GT3 by my local Porsche dealership.
  • I received several emails from brokers who wanted to "help me out" and would pay $45k for the car. Dupont Registry also phone- spammed me incessently.
  • I sold the car without the original wheels/tires, and without a spare 19-inch rear PS2 tire. I'll have those up for sale soon.
Up next, I'll be looking for a good deal on another sports car this winter. An F430, Stradale, or maybe a 997.1 GT3 are at the top of my list. A combination of an R8, Aston Martin Vantage, or Nissan GTR, in combination with a Noble, is another possibility. I'm about to be looking at four months of snow, so I've got some time.

On a side note, this For Sale thread resulted in me getting my first 6speedonline reputation comment. An anonymous user kindly left me the following rep:

"Even if you had the ideal car for sale, I don't think I could buy a car from a person like you."

Assumedly, this was not from the person who purchased the car.

I was very tempted by this car and you seem like a standup person.
