Car’s Story

No accidents or paintwork. How do I know? I am an avid car enthusiast and have bought and sold numerous cars. In addition to having a keen eye for paintwork, having had the car inspected, I also own an Elcometer 311 Professional Paint Gage.

Car had a single owner in San Francisco. It was traded back into Mercedes Benz of San Francisco where I purchased it in December of 2009 and had it shipped to Chicago. Car was never driven in the snow and the paint and condition shows it. Car is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. Leather is in awesome shape and still has the new leather smell.

I looked at more than ten cars prior to purchasing this one in four different cities (Atlanta, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco). What I found was that most cars had been abused, wrecked, or simply had unexplainable paint and/or body work. I found this car while on a business trip to San Francisco and it was by far the cleanest one for sale. I am sure that to this day, this car is still significantly nicer than most anything available.


Modifications:

1. The car was lowered about an inch by a Mercedes mechanic at an authorized dealership using the Mercedes Star computer and can easily be reversed.
2. Valentine 1 radar detector hardwiring kit was installed by a Mercedes mechanic at an authorized dealership.


Major Repairs/Maintenance:

All maintenance records are available. The car was taken care of 100% and no item was left to linger.
Car is in perfect mechanical condition with absolutely nothing that needs to be touched.
But please don’t take my word for it, I just had the car inspected and the report is attached in the pictures.


Condition:

This vehicle is in excellent condition, especially for its age. It was recently detailed inside and out and it shines.

The front hood has very minor paint chips (as does any car that has been driven for 47k miles) however they are so minor, I was unable to capture them in a photograph. Interior shows almost no signs of wear, especially the rear seats. This is a smoke free vehicle without any strange odors.

Hi, sorry I didn’t respond sooner. The warranty is through Member’s Choice but is underwritten and backed by Cuna Mutual (who is a huge and very stable insurance company). I have the Platinum Coverage which means everything is covered unless it's explicitly excluded. Exclusions are for wear items. Before I purchased this warranty I compared it with Easy Care and the MB Certification. Member’s Choice has less exclusions and they even cover hoses in some instances where as Easy Care does not at all. Certification was only available for an extra 2 years and was far more expensive with far less items covered (Certification is a “stated” warranty, meaning they only cover items that are explicitly listed covered). Furthermore, I know three other people with Member’s Choice on cars like E55, SL65, and GTR and all of the have been completely satisfied over the last 4-5 years. They pay and there are no issues.

 

i have an s55, but this car is just awesome.. reat seat function with ventillation too!
