I'm the 3rd owner of the car, which I purchased back in May 2010 with 27,000 miles on it. Lesson learned, but I found out later that the car was repainted, which obviously affects the value of the car. I should have known given that the side rockguards were replaced with clear bra, and clear bra has been applied to much of the front part of the car. I did go back to the seller who claimed he was sprayed by gravel from a truck (he lives in Bakersfield), but I have no way of confirming. Long story short, always PPI a private party car (I rushed into this transaction).
Overall, the car has been great, and I have made a few repairs. I replaced the heater core a couple months after purchase. I've changed the oil regularly and recently changed the clutch, throwout bearing and RMS ($2K repair). I've always taken my car to a friend, Ken, who was a tech at McKenna. He recently went to start an indy in Anaheim (Redline). He's always worked on the car and also changed the clutch and can answer any questions. All tires were also changed a few thousand miles ago with Hankook Ventus v12s, and alignment was performed by the Wheel Supply in Walnut. At 52K miles, a 60K will be needed as I haven't changed the plugs yet. I asked my tech, and he said there I didn't need to change the pads yet, but that I'd probably need to do it on the 60K.
For the condition of the car, it was my daily driver, so its not perfect. Car was keyed and has 3 scratches on the driver side door. There is also a very small door ding over the rear wheel well on the driver side. The back left tail light needs to be replaced because I snapped the clip changing the bulb (duh). Lastly, the front windshield caught a rock and has a crack in it up where the rearview mirror is. In the interior, the PCM buttons have begun to wear (white showing) and the floor mats could use replacing. I friend who is considering purchasing the car just had it PPI'd by his independent mechanic who said the car checks out, but he's an Audi mech (and I'd recommend a 2nd opinion). The car shows a clean Carfax (which is worthless). The car has an Arq-ray exhaust, and I also have the stock PSE (but the welds are cracked which was always an issue with PSE).
I've tried to disclose all pertinent details of the car and have nothing to hide. Carmax has offered me $31,500 for the car and I'm floating it out there for a week to try to get a couple thousand more to make it worth my while. I'm not looking to ship the car anywhere and I'm located in Orange County, CA. Don't have the title free and clear yet, so I won't be able to hand over the pink slip right away. I'm not even driving the car right now (as I took the baby seat out) so its been sitting in my garage. Car can be shown any day of the week, and PPI's are welcome (Hergsheimer is 20 minutes away). Open to offers more than Carmax, and I'd rather see somebody get a nice deal. If I don't receive any offers, I will take the car in on Sat 9/29. Please feel free to PM any questions.

Nice looking car that is well priced. Good luck with your sale, hopefully an enthusiast can benefit instead of Carmax. Have you posted it on Pelican Parts? They have a very active Porsche classifieds section and a lot of CA members.
Could you contact me at charlieshlee at gmail . com? I am very interested in the car. Thanks!
