any 1/4 mile runs? great looking car. I'm in the market for something quasi utilitarian and fast. I'm leaning more towards an automatic though.

No 1/4 mile runs. But, I imagine it'd be in the 10s, given how other Golf R cars run with similar / lesser power figures.

The beauty of the clutch setup I have is its not any heavier than OEM.

Fantastic Video. Awesome Presentation. Too bad the guys with "exotics" don't put the time into making something like this...they would sell much quicker.

Amazing build. Forged crank? Any way I could stop by and talk shop on the motor sometime? I'm nearby in Somerville - will bring beer. Can't afford to buy it, but interested in the build.

Man I wish I knew someone who could smog this thing out in Cali. What a cool grocery getter this would be...

A buddy of mine made it. Was just for fun, but if it works to sell the car, all the better.

Sure, I'd be happy to take you out.

Car will likely pass smog without a cat it runs so cleanly. I could also have a cat put in for you if you'd like. It just passed MA state inspection which is as harder than CA. Just no smog testing.

I know you're not supposed to care on these types of cars, but out of curiosity, what kind of mileage are you getting/miles to the tank?

Depends of course on how you drive it.

If you're foot to the floor, you'll get around 3-4MPG.
If you're cursing down the highway, you can do 30-32 mpg.

Fairly responsible city driving nets ~20-22mpg.

That's pretty solid for the power output. Good luck with the sale!

infiniteecho,

Question about your clutch. You say it's a modified stage 2 DXD endurance. What is modified on it? Are you happy with that clutch or would have gone with another clutch? I ask because I own an MK6 gti and I need a clutch but can't make my mind up as to which way I want to go. Sick car!

The clutch is awesome. Light as OEM but has a ton of grip. A few other Golf R folks are running it as well after seeing how well its done in my car.

Bump, Porsche Trades considered!
