Year: 1972
Make: Porsche
Model: 911
Price: $32000
Mileage: 1
Color: Silver
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): CA
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

Just a shot in the dark to see if anyone was interested. I've been looking for a fun, fast car but can't really justify buying one. I figured maybe someone would want this and that would allow me to rationalize my completely unnecessary purchase

Here's my listing for the watch. It's really as good as it gets in AP's. Those of you who know me know that I know my watches a bit...

This is a once in a lifetime chance at a near perfect example of one of the most legendary watches in the industry, with its original box, service papers and original parts. This is an original A-Series Royal Oak, of the first production run with the AP logo at 6 on the dial.

The dial of this 40 year old watch is unbelievable, having aged to somewhere between gray and blue. It's the best I've seen. The watch recently underwent a full factory service at AP and I have the original parts, something that AP will no longer do. It comes with both an original 5402 bracelet that was recently cleaned up and is as tight as it was in 1972 and an aftermarket bracelet that is more like the newer ones. I even was able to find an original NOS unsigned crown with stem that I will include with the watch (these can be $1000 on their own, if you can find one).

The watch itself is in 90%+ condition with very minor wear but basically perfect, especially for a 40+ year old watch! It's the best of both worlds -- all correct but with AP making sure it is up to highest quality. Look at the edges on the case and bezel!

Watch and I are located in Los Angeles. Asking $32k for this incredible vintage piece.

Check out a video of it here:

Anyone who would trade a 996TT for a watch must be losing their mind

And last time I checked most were still in the 40-55k range

I've seen a bunch in the 30's, but happy to add or receive cash to even out a deal with someone. I also have other watches...

Steve is a great seller...if I had a 996 he wanted I'd do something like this in a heartbeat. He is definitely the watch person's watch person to say the least as well.

...I wish more trades like this popped up from time to time actually...

Thanks! Obviously I know how and where to sell a watch but why not see if anyone is open to a fun deal?

Doesn't have to be a 996TT by the way. Happy to listen to any offers of something fun.

I traded my AP royal oak offshore rubber clad + an older BMW 750 and some cash for my Porsche 991 S here on 6speed so there are definitely some creative trades to be done!

Cool!

I have other watches too. Just figured this one might interest a car guy, but if anyone has a fun car they want to trade for a watch, hit me up!
