Selling my Stereo Components

Sold my 996 turbo. Sad, sad day. Needed something with 4 doors so picked up the new m5.

I am parting out the stereo system that was in the turbo. Parts for sale include:

- JL Audio 5-channel 500/5 Amplifier
- Alpine CDA 9831 AM/FM CD MP3 in dash receiver
- Alpine CHA 1214 12-disc changer (compatible with deck)
- MB Quart DSC 210 4'' speakers
- MB Quart PSD 210 4'' speakers
- MB Quart DSD 213 5.25'' speakers

All components are in excellent condition. Would prefer a local buyer and would prefer to sell together rather than piecemeal.

Looking for $1,400 for everything.

Email me with any questions. thanks!!!

Kevin

Hey if you don't mind me asking we're planning on doing the same thing as you. Would you be willing to tell us how much you sold your turbo for because we're trying to guage the market in the Bay Area right now, and if you got your car locally was it at msrp? Sorry for all the questions. Good luck with the sale either way

Hi,
Actually the turbo was a lease return.

With regards to the m5, all the dealers here in the bay area were asking for a pretty heafty premium over msrp. I found my car in new jersey and paid msrp with no premium and had the car shipped.

here's a pic...

So the speakers you have listed, are those to replace all the speakers in the car, or just the fronts? Sorry I dont know the details of the stock systems.

Nice M5..Is it lowered, or is that stock height?

KEM,
The MB Quarts replaced all of the factory speakers. Separates up front and coaxials in the rear.

Guys,
Thanks for the compliments.

The car is lowered. Running 21'' Hartge wheels. Was worried at first that they'd be too big, but actually like the way they fill the wheel gap.

Ride is awesome. Surprisingly much more smooth and forgiving around town than the turbo with PSS9's.

What suspension setup did you put on the M5?

only real option at this point is springs given the adjustable suspension. Went with H&R over the Hartge set up. Liked the stance a bit better.

Holy ****, does your car look nice. Can I ask how much the ride was degraded with just springs and 21's

Thanks Jamie.

Can't tell you much about the ride vs. stock, since I had the mods done right when she arrived. Very happy with the ride though. Much, much better than the old turbo with pss9's.

Seems to absorb the road imperfections well and no rubbing issues at all.

BTW,
Had the exhaust replaced as well. Saved a ton of weight. The stock e60 exhaust for the m5 is even more ridiculous than the e39. Went with Hartge. Slightly bigger tips and much better sound. Love the throttle blips on the downshifts. here's a pic.
