RR HSE vs. RR Sport SCharged
Fred -
RR Sport vs. RR - I chose the 2005 RR because I needed more room.
I didn't like the interior of the RR Sport. Looked too much like a spruced up LR3 whereas the RR has what I think is the nicest interior of any SUV.
The exterior of the RR sport looks much cooler.
The 2005 RRs had the BMW engine, which I found punchier than the Jaguar engine in the standard 2006 RR and RR Sport models. Both the sport and full sized felt really sluggish with the Jaguar powerplant.
The Scharged version solves the problems I had with the engine. At the time I got my RR, the scharged models were going for a premium, so I nixed that idea. Plus, the interior of the Sport was too small for my needs.
Sidenote: RR Sports on rims look unbelievable. Unfortunately, there are only a couple of rim choices for the full sized RR that look decent - the rest look like crap.
Enjoy,
Bobby G

The Mercedes G55K. The RR Sport S/C is very disappointing, heavy and small. The RR S/C is better but for torque and smoothness the G55K is king, if you don't mind the looks. Also, don't forget about the CTTS coming soon.

Can't go wrong either way between the Rovers. I love my Sport, had it for about four months now. The biggest difference is interior space and feel. The full size Range is like stepping into a cabin and the Sport is like stepping into a cockpit (for a Range Rover, I know we aren't talking exotic Porsches here). If you ask me (and I sell'em) the best bang for your buck is the supercharged Range Rover Sport. Cheaper then a base RR and fun to drive with good power and a nice interior.

i think I am going to have to go the dealership and test drive the RR HSE this weekend and see if power is good.
I was thinking of the RR sport as it has lower stance and I could drive it aggressively like I used to in my CTT.

Personally I think you will always compare it to the CTT, and wish it was. The RR Sport looks great and is the newest thing but you like to drive...
Used CTT prices are very close to RR Sport. I would prefer one of those or the 4.8 which handles even better imo due to less mass.

I forgot you used to own CTT,hmmm It'll be too slow for you...
The RR SC is slower than the Cayenne S, X5 4.8 and FX45...
i know the RR will not be as fast as the CTT but the range rover has that classy feel to it. I have already had a CTT so don't really want another one. Kind of been there done that. Plus the CTT is coming with new facelift very soon.
I just put a deposit down, so doesn't mean I will actually pick it up. First things first, sell the viper and go from there.
The H3 right now is fine and it's very easy to drive and cheap ;-)

i am now leaning towards a Range Rover or a sport non-supercharged. I don't need insane power, remember I drive an H3 right now and I still am the fastest on the highways ;-)

I prefer the Range Rover HSE than the sport, either way they look great..
